UNION ELEVATOR & WAREHOUSE CO.
"The minutes of the union's board of directors meeting of March 28, 1908 shows a slate of officers to transact all business matters of the newly formed Union Elevator and Warehouse Company of Adams County. Those officers were W.B. Davis, president; W.A. Swartz, vice-president; J.E. Fouser, treasurer; C.E. Moody, secretary; and Finley Urquhart, member. They proceeded to build one of the first bulk elevators in Eastern Washington and named W.B. Davis to serve as manager. Union Elevator is the only grain marketing agency surviving in Lind today."

Minutes of the first board meeting of the newly incorporated Union Elevator &
Warehouse Co., at which William Bruce Davis was elected to be the first manager
of the company with a salary of $125 per month.
William Bruce Davis was born Dec. 26, 1863 in Meigs Co., Tennessee. He married Emma Maria Chandler on Sept. 16, 1885. They had 11 children. He passed away on Feb. 27, 1927 in Seattle.
